Excellent game if you play it properly.
Originally, at release, I played it the wrong way by rushing things which made it feel like each games was over way too quickly.
Now that I revisited it years later, I realized that you're meant to play it slowly

Quite addictive board game, but it has its frustrating moments. Random events can completely ruin a run and the spellbooks you draw can determine victory or defeat. Elementalism is basically the only decent choice for combat, whereas Blood and Night

This feels like a true digital adaption of a solo RPG tabletop game. While if this was a real world board game a session would take probably 3-4 hours due to upkeep and management you can easily play a round in 30-60 minutes.
