This seems like a fever dream with a bunch of random mini-games glued together, difficulty is all over the place because of this.
Also why UP on D-PAD for jumping, wtf!? Didn't we got rid of that awful design decision nearly half century ago?

After I got the gun the game didn't want to progress to whatever the next stage was. Not sure if there is something I missed.
