The AI is very wonky, sometimes they will attack you and defend their base, other times they will just stand around and literally do nothing.

Not the latest obviously - Warcraft 3 copy (with a mix of Paraworld) that offers little after 30min play on skirmish against AI. The maps are so tiny, it does not matter if you have 'unlimited' resources/Unit expansion, because you will barely get to it.
