I'd say pick it up on sale.
Cool strategy and management elements and the ship debuffs make sense (bleed becomes hull breach, and the like), but it can get repetitive and the game sometimes has bugs.

Lighthearted parody of mostly Star Trek, which is fun. I bounced off of it getting a bit grindy, but if you like grinding JRPG style battles, with a lightweight base building component, this is a fun, silly one for you. This is apparently the less grindy

I've had this combo of XCOM (you have teams of soldiers you send a round a map under a time limit) and Star Trek/Babylon 5 (your main base of operations is a starbase in space, you send teams of greenshirts to different planets who mostly die horribly lol
