I will give BATTLETECH a slight thumbs up since it gave us melee combat in a BattleTech/MechWarrior video game. This is a very good looking game with a very good main story. Mod will give this game a long shelf life. However it is NOT like MechCommander

My first forray into the Battletech universe and it could not have been better. Tons of fun, strategic gameplay backed by loads of mech customization. And I truly enjoyed the main campaign storyline! All around recommend for any mech or tactical strategy

Painfully slow paced, cant see any way to turn the game speed up and in a turn based combat game that is not good. Also the game didnt auto save often enough, so that results in having to replay 30 minutes of very very slow paced combat again. No thanks.
