I don't know why (and you can call me stupid, who cares), but this feels like a better Gradius game with good QoL.
The one thing that I hate most from Gradius is how massively big the power gap between your initial ship and the all equipped options ship.

Some wild hyperbole in the reviews, especially the pro quotes. This schmup is so slow that the music tracks end before the levels do. That's just jank. Moving the fighter is like dragging folders across a Win95 desktop. Laborious and dull.
