You need to download this first : https://www.opensceneryx.com/ then install the airport from steam , its all works well. Having said that, you do need a very high end PC. 10 series nvidia / I5 at least / 8gb min ideally an SSD drive too.

Ok, "the way it works"
1. You have to download OpenSceneryX and install it into your X-Plane folder.
Then OpenSceneryX will automaticaly be placed in your "Custom Scenery"
2. Then install JFK International in the Steam DLC.
That's how it works!

I bought this DLC, but the textures and 3D objects never rendered in. You get a message saying you need a third party software library called Open Scenery, and THEN you install. I tried this, still didn't work.

The installation process is easy: just get opensceneryx and you're good to go. There are other posts that explain how to do it step by step.
As far as the addon itself, I wasn't very impressed with it. Doesn't look that different from the vanilla version
