Proabably plays everything just fine, but kinda sucks because it doesnt really have an evnrionmental shell for the user to enjoy, in the off chance they want to watch a normal 2d video.
This and the game theater should be one application.

Ignoring that you can only play videos through Steam, there just isn't anything special about this. The video playback isn't intuitive, and just not worth the time to setup for this.
