If you like Advance Wars, you'll like Wargroove. It's basically Wars with a medieval fantasy theme instead of a modern one. Most of the units (and countries) have approximate counterparts in Wars.

Very little actual strategy, more like a puzzle game. Most of the campaign missions are just you, with very limited resources, fighting excessive unit spam (clearly the devs thought up *their* way of completing a mission and that's it). I had no interest

Pretty fun! As a tactics game the pace is pretty slow, it takes a long time to complete missions and even longer if you need to try again. But there's a lot to do, I particularly liked the puzzle mode and playing some of the silly user-created campaigns.

Unfortunately, I just don't think this game is for me. I really wanted to like it, but after finishing Act 2 I just didn't have any interest in playing further. Unless if you REALLY like long strategy games, I would not recommend this to most people.
