Doesnt seem to be very strong at all since the update that made the fish fight harder, I have just got this and the gear struggles with a 42lb gar so its not at all what I expected seeing other reviews saying it could land 100lb easy.

Amazing DLC. A bit pricey but it's really worth it considering you get a massive fishnet (440lb) and 2 rods and reels that will catch the bigger fish. You can easily catch a 100lb+ Alligator gar on this setup without the risk of breaking anything.
