It is an abandoned game. One of the bugs is when you repeatedly interact with the merchants the boxes can get bigger every interaction. If that happens just save and quit out and it will be reset. Otherwise it is a pretty chill game where you shoot astero

Doesn't seem to be abandoned from my perspective, an update just came out today.
I have to say for a free game it's actually really great for what we get.
