This works much better than the actual board game imo. Setup/tear down takes a long time in person and eliminating all of that and cycling in new tech each round shaves off hours off of this games play time.

If you like the boardgame and want to play against AI: buy this.
I play it at pc. Tablet would be ok aswell. But a smartphonescreen would be too small for me.
The use of the 'take back' button gives some minor bugs, but for the rest everything works good.

The Eclipse boardgame is epic, but there is no point in buying this pc version. Multiplayer is not really supported i.e. lots of thing lacking as mentinoned in other reviews. AI does the same thing all the time, so singleplayer is pointless.

The game itself is good, the UI can be fiddly but you get used to it.
However, I haven't been able to finish a single game of decent length, against other players or the AI. It always gets to a turn (usually right near the end) and then gets stuck doing.

It seems so close to a good playable version of the game. I can usually play 90% of a game before getting caught in some dead end or accidentally exiting the game trying to undo my last move, only to find that everything I just did was all for naught.
