I got this on sale and you shouldn't get RPG Maker VX for one reason.
Because VX Ace was released few years later. Only get this if your a fan or nostalgia of this engine.

to be honest...
yeah if you start out,and know nothing of game making..
this is a good start,to learn about triggers and stuff..(see a bit behind the scenes.)
its perhaps more worth it cause of the royalty free assets.
