Why?
No Auto-start with Windows, because of the Pirates of the 7 Seas (allegedly)
Only a few presets... of those only 3 were usable for Gaming, TV & Movie and Music.
(But they sound very good with my Sony 7.1 Headse

HeSuVi is the best virtual surround for headphones but SSC is very close. And since APO and HeSuVi doesn't work on my WIN11 setup SSC is my choice now. I like the New York preset for games. I'd love to see more presets, even as DLCs ;)

It is just a virtual sound card like other regular choices,
I have 5.1 surround speaker environment setup and still use front speaker only for "virtual 5.1"
