To address the negative reviews- Well one, that was fixed shortly after launch. There are both easy and challenging missions to choose from that recharge every hour.
As to the other, it's correct in that even the 'easy' missions are geared toward people

The developers listened to exactly what we asked for in the Steam forums and implemented it. The daily missions have been changed into hourly ones - meaning you get four new missions to tackle per hour.

You can only do the missions ONCE a day, regardless of who's leading. If you do as a companion/sidekick for someone, you cannot do your own.
