Don't get it out of the season pass and you're good.
All of the characters are pretty cool. Songbird and Mach-V especially. I didn't find myself playing any of them often during free play but they're some of the best looking to come out of the DLCs.

Songbird is the only hero I like here. Others look bad and mostly useless, so, I didn't use them.

There is a lot of DLC's available for this game.
Some of them also feature actual extra levels.
Which in my eyes is better than only minifigs.
This DLC though is one of those minifig ones.
