Looks nice (as a photo) but hits framerate like mad. Gone from 35-40fps down to an unplayable 8fps.

Just bought this in sale for £3.49 - bargain. If you intend to buy, switch off your autogen, fly at between 2000 and 5000 feet using GA airplane, and enjoy some excellent photoscenery. Why buy? Great value (especially at 50% off), excellent photo scenery

This is a very cheep addon, so I went into it with my expectations adjusted for that fact...
Does this improve over the default scenery? Yes. Is it great? No.
To give you an idea on its quality, it has modeled skyscrapers and has a slightly enhanced mesh.

I've read some of the negative comments regarding this add-on, but all I can say is that I've never had a problem running it. I get frame rates around 50 FPS with 3 monitors. Day and night imaging is better than expected. I lived on Guam for five years
