In my opinion, this is one of the most underrated games in the last decade. It's like if Galaga and Metroid had sex and gave birth to a hybrid that focuses on speed-runs. It's incredibly unique and there hasn't been a game like this since it came out.

A quick side scroller, which I just recently learns becomes quicker depending what frame rate your monitor runs at. It is OK, but yeah, which they didn't develop the game based on the frame rate since some levels were a lot harder to get through.

First time I see an XP wall and it comes after ~30 levels.
Worst mechanic in a game for a casual player. If you want you can just make the levels more difficult, but making me repeat them after I finished them is just annoying.
