The loco automatically sets to advanced so you need to use the drivers ejector to create vacuum to get it going. There is a small and large above the reverser. You only need the small open to maintain vacuum.

The detail of this locomotive looks good and so as the sounds. As you can noticed that you can't drive the locomotive while in basic mode so you have to do it in advanced mode which I always use anyway. It is best to read the manual before you drive this
