My opinion on this is route is that it is good scenario wise.
Pro:
1. Excellent route from Bayhead to Hoboken terminal including New York Penn station via Long Branch.
2. ALP-45DP is a very good locomotive. You will surely enjoy the locomotive.

Frustratingly broken.
-Signals are completely incorrect half the time.
-Unmarked speed restrictions.
-No cab signals (that would alleviate the first two problems).
-Only 1 locomotive and 1 car type.
-No scenario that covers the entire route.

Oh dear, what a disappointment. Missing speed markers, loony tunes timing on most scenarios, frame rate of an etch a sketch and poor loco functionality.
No end to end quick drive and so the list of woefulness goes on, ah well more wasted money.

You're really supposed to pick up (Morristown instead and) one of the diesels.
The ALP-45DP scenarios cover the electric part, while the diesels the outer section.
The DP scenarios are a bit short or few, but with the additional DLC and potential scenario
