I gave it a chance both with and without mods (tried 1212 and Dawnless Days), the battles just aren't fun... The way units interact make them look weightless and floaty and there is no point in playing it if it just makes me want to autoresolve every batt

improves on some stuff from rome II but also takes over some of the bad mechanics. personally i really dislike the public order mechanics present in rome II that were again adopted in attila (why does your population get upset over construction of fields?
