The remaster itself is a tad dated and janky compared to Nightdive's later remasters, but hey, this was their first so it is completely understandable. Fair warning though. Don't even bother trying the multiplayer, as it is extremely unstable.

It was difficult to make this game to launch with SteamOS, but it worked from eventually.
Not so typical fps shooter having some non-linearity, NPC dialogues and some puzzles. RPG elements are rundamental, like getting missions and buying stuff at least.
