i like this but a huge issue with it is that pirates ONLY attack you, it legit makes no sense and i couldn't move any of my armadas because of the barage from the pirate empire, i think the best solution is 1. make it to where i can attack the pirate base

Excellent value DLC - they both are. Not worth getting if you haven't overcome the learning curve and managed to enjoy the base game, but if you have then it's essential.
That said it's currently on such a massive discount that you should just get it.
