Beetle Ninja is so slept on. You can also beat the game in 30 mins if you just sleep on the couch. 8/10 would Beetle again.
It takes a while for things to click, and you'll probably lose your first playthrough, so lemme give you some tips.

Really fun game, a lot of the grim and whimsical vibes of things like Earthbound. I like how there are always choices to be made, even if they are very simple ones like which ninja to hire or going to a hot spring for day. I really like all of the ninjas'

As others have said, this is an underrated RPGMaker gem that is worth your time.
The only criticism I have is the [spoiler] underwater level. I find it easy to get lost and spend too much time going in circles [/spoiler].

I played this back when it originally released in 2020, and it's as every bit of a lovely hidden gem as I remembered it being.
