A couple of tips that don't seem to be explained.
After building places for people to live, you have to click the menu on the left to let them settle. It costs food.

There's no complexity or depth. The technology tree is linear. Combat is just a numbers game of who has a bigger armor with a hint of randomization.

Its a decent little game, it'll not change your life, or make you an ardent fan, but it's fun, and as the developers grow in confidence, they will make even better games I think.
