This is a great game.
I didnt mess with car customization and I didnt do much free roaming either.
But the cars feel unique. And they are REALLY fun to drive.
Some of the other comments mention problems that I never experienced.

Ignore the other reviews about the handling being doo doo, as I've figured out the solution (along with a couple other reviewers).
