Essential! Colourspace and Tempest2000 alone is worth the price of admission. Thank you, Digital Eclipse! A DLC with Trip-A-Tron would be welcome. Jeff Minter truly is one of the last living coder legends (E.Jarvis beeing the other).

This package is worth it just for Tempest 2000 plus the three ST games. But you also get the reimagined Gridrunner Remastered, which is (I think?) the C64 version with updated graphics, and you can switch between graphics on the fly. You get earlier games

Digital Eclipse makes some of the best documentary-styled compilations of games, and this is no exception. If you like the history of video games and learning about designers while also getting to try some of these pieces for yourself without having to re

They say "context is key" and here's a LOT of context from the 1980s UK gaming scene with Jeff Minter at the centre of focus. Read the articles, newsletters and quotes, watch the videos from industry veterans or just play all the games - mostly Vic20 a

That is a wholesome journey through videogame history of Jeff Minter. Surely a banger to try out Tempest 2000 and some of his addicting lightsynths. Too bad some of his apps are not included like Trip-a-Tron. However, such virtual museum of 42 games (even

Amazing collection, so glad to be able to discover with good quality a lot of these games, including unreleased stuff. One of the greatest game of the year for sure.

Mit großer Vorfreude habe ich mich in die Welt von "Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story" gestürzt, eine interaktive Dokumentation, die von Digital Eclipse meisterhaft zusammengestellt wurde. Meine Erfahrungen mit "The Making of Karateka", ebenfalls von Dig

Interesting documentary, and probably the best (and in many cases, only) way to experience the early Minter genius. I assume rights issues were involved, but the absence of the 'best' (and in some cases, only) version of later games is disappointing to s

I had a ton of old c64 games as a kid in the mid/late 90s, but zero context of the culture around them. This is a perfect way of bringing this history to life. And its amazing to see how Minter evolves his craft.

My impressions video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KgiP4--4iE If you're into games that are mechanics focused, Jeff Minter is a name you need to know if you don't already. An OG British game developer who was a true indie in an era where that term ha

I'm all in on the Gold Master Series stuff from Digital Eclipse. After The Making of Karateka and now Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story, I'll grab any of these. There's something really fun and exciting about playing a developer's games from the very be

Really interesting collection. I had heard the name Jeff Minter around but hadn't really played anything of his before. This sort of docu-collection is a great format and I look forward to more like it.

Grew up in the US, so Minter wasn't on my radar. Got Gridrunner for my 64 on clearance and played it a few times. Tempest 2000 was the first time I'd heard of him. Fun game. Love the Robotron LLama game. The DE version of Gridrunner is fun. I spent

This could have been a great interactive documentary, but it lacks on to many fronts. While the presentation is spot on (just as in ATARI50), the games are the problem. First of all the games advertised as Atari ST games are in fact very inferior Jaguar p

All the included “Atari ST” games are crappy Jaguar ports instead. For example Super Gridrunner is missing the wonderful mouse/analog controls of the original game, which allowed fine control of the player ship, making it unplayable in my opinion. Lla
