It's slow to start because the first difficulty is very easy and the harder difficulties only get unlocked after some time. But once those difficulties are unlocked, the skill needed for using certain spells while avoiding hazards becomes more apparent.

Traveler's Bastion is a free auto-shooter / bulletheaven wave defense game (yes you read that right) with a meta progression system and pretty anime like pixel art.
