Has its flaws but I keep coming back to it.
Some wildy imbalanced character options at the setup screen but if you match your chosen attributes with the correct game difficulty then there is an outstanding strategy empire building game here.

Make sure you get Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes instead. You may think it's the expansion, but it's the full game with the expansion. You don't need to get this one. Get the edition with all the DLC, because you'll want all that. It's worth it.
