I love Ys VI and Origin. The Napishtim Engine is great and I'd wish Ys V would get a remake here sometime soon. The combat of these games have an addicting feel, simple yet complex at the same time.

Holy crap this game was a legit masterpiece. I heard this series gets even better too which is just wild. Cant recommend enough. Play on Normal if you want a serious challenge but doable as a first timer.

After playing Ys 1, this was an excellent way for me to feel out the evolution of the series moving forward. I was not expecting an action RPG of this vintage to have such tight and responsive combat. I will be playing more of these for sure.

Very good game, boss fights are hard and well designed for the most part, just annoying to die in the middle of a dungeon and having to respawn from the entrance, until you fin the checkpoint. And the story is pretty decent for this kind of game.
