I think Champions of Krynn will have a growing popularity with the release of Dragonlance: Shadow of The Dragon Queen. I have found a popular opinion is that Champions is the weakest of all Gold Box games, something I am happy to say I do not agree with.

Got a copy of this game back in High School. I remember finishing the 1st one. However did not get far in the next one. Cures the itch for that classic turn biased RPG.

Very happy to see these classic games returned, the improved sound and Gold Box Companion bundled is a real bonus. However if you did not play them back in the day and lack the nostalgia lens you may find it hard going.

It takes me back to those thrilling days of yesteryear, when games were hard and gamers needed to be smart and expect to lose, most of the time. Save early, save often. Play with the keyboard and give up on the mouse/joystick experience. It's built for

The first game has in my opinion the worst random encounter spam of all the goldbox games. The second is piss easy with loads of undead and some more undead. The third game has a lot more annoying, exploding and fire-shielded draconians. The dark magician

By far the greatest series of games in existence. Champions of Krynn was the first D&D game I ever owned, and as an adult I still love playing it and beating it. I wish the magic system was a bit more useful, as there isn't much of a use for many of the

I loved these in the 90's, I still love them now. I had the old DOS based games still, and the physical books, but being able to run them without work arounds is great..

This is classic DnD with negative AC being the best. This game will take you back to the days of DOS and pen and paper DnD. No real time combat here. It is all turn based so it has the feel of the oldschool role playing. I have not had any issues with la

Classic AD&D goldbox action with modern conveniences like automatic mapping you can add notes to. Imaginative games. A little bit heavy on the combat and light on the role-playing but overall a lot of fun.

A little warning that this is turn based gaming makes you want to rip your eyes out, but it's not as bad most Pokemon games when it comes to the number of monster encounters. Once you get passed the redundancy of aiming and targeting, it's not so bad... y

Great classic. I used to read a lot of Dragonlance books when I was a kid. This brings a lot of nostalgia and reminds me of times when everything was simpler :')
