I played this game when it first came out on an 8088 10mhz clone. GBC didn't exist yet which made playing much tougher, i still have the original boxed set with 5 1/4" disks. i really enjoyed it then and i still do now. the battles can run long, sometimes

This game is only going to appeal to a small number of people nowadays. But, if you are a fan of the older style 2D Turn-based RPGs, or if you are an older gaming looking to revisit these classics, you can't go wrong with this bundle. Sure the 1st edition

An enjoyable nostalgia run. Pools of Radiance is solid and the rest of the series just improves upon the original. Hillsfar is absolutely terrible, but the rest of the gold box is worth playing if you enjoy ancient turn based fantasy. Overall I preferred

Classic games able to be relived on modern hardware. Games are just like I remember and if you want to speed through them you are provided some great maps and the adventure journals and tip books.

So this game is revolutionary for the time. Having played role-playing games in the 80s up to this, the first time I walked into new Phlan I was amazed. It still kept the fun of the older games for mapping and making sure you are completely diligent in

Return to the age of 5 1/4" floppy disks and all the tricks developers used to get around limitations. You'll find code wheels both for copy protection and multi-lingual support (Dwarvish and Elvish). For all that flavor text that they could not cram onto

This was a great ride (despite missing out on a small piece of the story because of a bug I encountered late game) and I'm glad I finally played Pool of Radiance. Took me 52 hours, and I did resort to the cluebook here and there. The automapper also helpe

Never had the chance to play or even know about them when I was a child. I became a gamer much later, when I was 16 probably. I played PoR and it was a very fun experience and a lovely jump back in that era of gaming. I'll play for sure also the others.

I beat Pools of Radiance on my Commodore 64, so to get to play this faithfully-modernized version was an absolute blast. Thanks!!

Pool of Radiance is the first ever DnD video game (released in 1988). It starts off brutal, but levels off if you can manage to get yourself to a lvl 3 party, so retreat and rest after each encounter until you lvl up. Also The game is open-world so you ca

The game has new life to it with the additional tools. I played when it first came out and knew there were mods and addons, but getting them to work were impossible for non-technical players. The simplicity of finding journal entries and monitoring the b

I love these old school games. I used to play these on Commodore 64 back in the 80's. I had to have all of them as soon as I saw them on Steam. It's like going back in time getting to play them again.

I have fond memories of winning Pools and Azure Bonds way back when. Unfortunately, they're not really ported to a modern PC in a state to actually, play them. An enhanced compatible edition would have my attention. The old decoder ring should be removed.
