Overall the game is so good. There are some things that maybe needs to be improved( like the feel of more dynamic weapons), but this is an early access so i guess it will be improved eventually.

-Cards are a gimmick, but they force you to pick them up in every level, yes, they do LITERALLY block progression on more than one occasion- you can ignore them and then run in circles because some of them are coded to open doors

This is a very light down vote. The game is good from what I can see, but the camera is AWFUL it gives This weird fish-eye lense that distorts the sides of the screen. I've fiddled with the field of view and other settings and nothing fixes it.
