December 28, 2024 and I just completed Battle for Esturia which I purchased back in June of 2021. I have a habit of beefing up my game collection during Steam sales and a large number of them either get tossed to the side after purchase because I have ot

Looks like Ultima, plays like a game of Dungeons & Dragons, and I am here for it.

Short and well-focused game with a decent story, good writing, varied challenges and a charming look. It's a full tactical "JRPG", without the 500 hours of grind and without the anime sprites.
Yes range attacks go through walls, but you get used to it. A

SO close to a YES, and a big YES, its fun and neat. Not complicated at all.
A decent levelling up mini RPG with a team of 6 or 7 characters to recruit. Basic quests, lots of enemies.
Combat can be a little too easy, but it is fun and not too easy ofte

A well-done, minimalistic python dungeon crawler. Plays nicely on Linux. UI's a bit clunky, being mouse-oriented.
Party starts weak and gradually grows in numbers (got 6 members in my Elementalist run) however it will ~easily kill monsters of all trades a

Yes, it is old-school but I enjoyed my 10-hour romp through Esturia. Played on normal difficulty as a ranger. Just a nice, brief chill-out game after a rough day at work. Each of the battles only lasts a minute or two and the puzzles are fairly simple.

A fun RPG in a retro style. The game reminds me of the old Ultima series, just not as long. Travel the world as one of several classes of characters, gathering allies, completing quests, and becoming stronger as you seek to defeat the lich king who has ta

A very fun little game. No complaints here. Plus I gave my cow a legendary sword and had it slay the big baddie. Any game with a sword-wielding cow has my respect.

Overall, a short but enjoyable RPG. Took me around six hours to complete, but I feel like that was about the right length for this game. It kept the pace high, and I appreciate being able to play an RPG that's on the shorter side for the genre.

RPG clásico minimalista en sus diferentes apartados, pero equilibrado en su jugabilidad y entretenido en todo momento. Introduce algunos refinamientos modernos que son de agradecer (autosave y quicktravel).
Vale lo que cuesta.

Battle For Esturia is a fun little tactical cRPG that I cleared in 4.5 hours reading the dialog out loud (as an LP). It never was too rough on Normal difficulty with a Barbarian protagonist. It takes some clear cues from games like Shining Force, which is

This RPG is a charming retro inspired tactical role playing game. It's a succinct journey and one that doesn't over stay its welcome.
I'd say that the replay value is just to explore all the other classes, but to be honest with the large party size that f

I really like the small amount of time I've put into this game, but MAN it could use a full screen mode and controller support. Full screen at the very least. I haven't encountered a window-only game in ages.

Interesting game, really liked the old school graphics with clear UI and turn-based combat.
Difficulty is a bit unforgiving, but you can continue at the previous screen so not much time is lost when dying.
