Boring upgrades, has the same sin you see in a lot of games from this genre where each level up and gear upgrade is like.. +1% damage, +2% defense, etc.
Combine that with enemies having a ton of health and you have a boring grindfest.

ZpellCatz released about a week ago. Once you get past the tutorial dungeon it escalates and opens up at a fairly rapid pace. It's a simple top-down looter shooter with proc-gen dungeons but the constant dopamine hits is surprisingly addictive.
