I got and played Shock Force 1 back in 09 which this game is entirely a retexture of and while I played CM obsessively for years the games and the engine they're built on have aged rapidly. The good and the bad i'll be highlighting will largely be endemic

Been playing Combat Mission about 20yrs since CMx1. Best game in the genre by far and most realistic milsim out there. The WEGO system really lets you savor the strategy between each turn and makes for great PBEM play and has straight real time play too.
