I liked 3 out of 5 nightmares, though I can't help thinking this could have been better.
But it's for free, so nothing to lose by taking a quick look at a few (passive) VR experiences.

It's a short experience worth trying. I did it first with a monitor and the second time around with VR glasses. Obviously, it's a lot better with the glasses.

Free and very well done.
It consists of 5 short experiences, that are representations of nightmares... One i found super scary (jumpscares, effective ones, even if i knew they where coming... Vr is amazing), the rest are more tense and maybe nerve wrecki

I don't scare easily at all, but with VR I can see that may change. The mirror nightmare on this is fun, worth it just for that. The rest are not great at all, it only last 10 minutes but it's free and gives an idea of what could be achieved with vr.
